TRAX Rider Pickup Timings & Daily Merchant Cutoff Guide
What online sellers need to know about booking TRAX pickups, the daily cut-off and getting parcels ready for the rider.
The 3:00 PM Booking Cut-Off
TRAX sellers book pickups in the Sonic seller portal. The most important time to remember is 3:00 PM. This is the daily cut-off for same-day pickup.
Before 3:00 PM
If you book in the seller portal before 3:00 PM, you can get same-day pickup. The rider usually comes between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM that day.
After 3:00 PM
If you book after 3:00 PM, expect the pickup on a later day. We could not confirm the exact rule for late bookings, so check with TRAX if timing matters.
Rider Pickup Time: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
After the 3:00 PM cut-off, TRAX riders go out to collect parcels. They usually reach sellers between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
The window is long because each rider visits many sellers on one route, so they cannot reach everyone at the same time. Have your parcels packed and ready before 4:00 PM, so the handover is quick.
What Affects When the Rider Reaches You
- How far you are from the hub
- How many stops come before yours on the route
- How many parcels each seller hands over (big batches take longer)
- Evening traffic in your area
If the rider has not come by 8:00 PM and your booking was confirmed, contact TRAX on (021) 111-118-729 or email info@slgtrax.com and give your booking details.
What You Need Before the Rider Arrives
TRAX needs two things for every pickup. Have both ready before the rider comes:
1. Printed Airway Bill
You create the airway bill in the Sonic seller portal after booking. It must be printed and stuck firmly on the parcel. It carries the barcode, the buyer’s address and the cash on delivery amount if there is one.
The barcode must be easy to scan. Make sure the print is clear and not smudged.
2. Signed Dispatch Sheet
The dispatch sheet lists all the parcels you hand over in one pickup. It must be signed at handover. It is your record of which parcels you gave to TRAX.
Keep your signed copy. If there is ever a question about whether a parcel was collected, this sheet is your proof.
What Happens After Pickup
After the rider collects your parcels, they go to a TRAX hub. There, each barcode is scanned into the tracking system. We could not confirm the exact times of these scans.
Pickup: The rider collects the parcels at your address, and the dispatch sheet is signed.
First hub scan: The parcels reach the hub, and each barcode is scanned. This scan is what makes tracking start to show movement.
On the road: Parcels travel by truck to the delivery cities. Hubs and trucks run around the clock.
It is normal for tracking to show no update for a few hours between pickup and the first hub scan. If your parcel was handed over but still shows nothing by the next morning, contact TRAX with the details from your dispatch sheet.
Tips for Sellers
Book a little before 3:00 PM
Leave yourself some time before the cut-off, in case the portal is slow or you need to reprint a label.
Pack and label parcels early
If orders come in all morning, pack them in batches and print airway bills together, instead of one at a time. Then you are not rushing when the rider arrives.
Keep your signed dispatch sheets
We could not confirm how long TRAX allows for pickup disputes. Keep your signed sheets safely, as they are the quickest way to prove a parcel was handed over.
Check COD amounts before printing
The COD amount on the airway bill is what the rider collects from the buyer. If it is wrong, fix it and reprint before pickup.
