Logistics Troubleshooting Guide

TRAX Tracking Not Updating: Causes & Solutions

Why tracking can pause between scans, what is normal and what you can do about it.

Why Does Tracking Stop Updating?

It is worrying when your tracking status stays the same for a day or more. But in most cases, a pause does not mean your parcel is lost or forgotten.

Tracking updates come from barcode scans at points along the way, such as hubs and offices. A truck driving between cities does not send updates while it is on the road. Knowing this helps you tell a normal pause from a real problem.

Common Reasons for a Pause

These everyday reasons explain most pauses in tracking:

1. Booked but Not Yet Collected

Sellers often book a parcel some hours, or even a day, before the rider collects it. Until the first pickup scan, tracking may show only "Booked" or no result.

2. Long Trips Between Cities

A parcel going a long way, such as from Karachi to Lahore, spends hours on the road. There are no scans while the truck is travelling between cities.

3. Sundays and Holidays

TRAX does not make normal home deliveries on Sundays, and regular work stops on national holidays and Eid. Hubs keep sorting parcels so they are ready for Monday. A parcel booked late on Saturday may not show a new scan until the next working day.

4. Big Sale Days

During big online sales, hubs handle many more parcels than usual, so scans can take longer to appear.

What to Check, Step by Step

If your tracking looks stuck, go through these steps in order:

Step 1: Look at the Time of the Last Scan

Check the date and time of the latest update. Compare it with the gaps between earlier scans on the same trip. A similar gap is normal. A much longer gap is worth checking.

Step 2: Think About the Distance

A parcel going between far-apart cities can go longer without a scan, because there are fewer stops on the way. See our Delivery Time Guide for which routes are relatively faster.

Step 3: Check the Tracking Number

Make sure you did not copy any extra spaces or characters. Compare the number with your booking receipt or SMS.

Step 4: Contact the Seller

If the status has said "Booked" for a long time, ask the seller whether the parcel has actually been handed to TRAX yet.

Weather and Road Problems

Long-distance parcels travel by road. In winter, thick fog can slow traffic or close motorways at night.

Heavy rain or flooding can also stop trucks leaving a hub. While a truck is held back, there are no new scans until it reaches the next hub.

When to Call TRAX

If your tracking is still stuck after checking the reasons above, call TRAX on (021) 111-118-729. Call especially if:

  • There has been no update for much longer than the gaps between earlier scans.
  • Your parcel has shown "Out for Delivery" for several days, but nobody has tried to deliver it.
  • The status says your address is wrong, but the address in your order is correct.
  • The phone number on the booking has a mistake, so the rider cannot call you.

Have your tracking number, the sending city, your address and your phone number ready when you call. Reporting early gives TRAX time to find the parcel before it is sent back to the seller.
