TRAX E-Commerce Logistics: A Plain Guide for Online Sellers
What TRAX offers online shops, from booking and pickup to cash on delivery and returns, and which details you should confirm with TRAX yourself.
Why Online Sellers Need a Good Courier
A shop that sends many parcels a day needs a few things from its courier. Labels must be quick to make, parcels must be collected on time, cash must be collected safely and buyers must be kept up to date.
TRAX offers online sellers a store connection through its Sonic platform. It can book parcels automatically, make airway bills in bulk and keep tracking updated for your shop. TRAX delivers to more than 400 destinations in Pakistan, with main hubs in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
Pack every parcel well. A strong, sealed flyer suits clothes. Glass, cosmetics and electronics need a firm box with padding. We could not find TRAX’s own packing rules, so ask TRAX which rules apply to your parcels.
The Main Steps for a Seller
Most parcels from an online shop go through four steps:
1. Booking and Pickup
Book pickups in the Sonic seller portal. For same-day collection, book before 3:00 PM. Riders collect between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on working days. Each parcel needs a printed airway bill with a barcode, and you sign a dispatch sheet.
2. Sorting and Delivery
After pickup, parcels pass through TRAX hubs on the way to the buyer’s city. TRAX delivers from Monday to Saturday. There are no normal home deliveries on Sundays, and regular work stops on national holidays and Eid.
3. Cash on Delivery (COD)
With COD, the buyer pays the rider when the parcel arrives. We could not confirm how or when TRAX pays this money to sellers. Ask TRAX for the payment terms of your account.
4. Returns
If a parcel cannot be delivered, it may be sent back to the seller. Keep tracking it with its tracking number until it is back with you, and ask TRAX how returns work for your account.
Connecting Your Online Store
A connected store saves you typing every order by hand:
Store Connection through Sonic
TRAX says its Sonic platform connects to online stores. It can book parcels automatically, create airway bills in bulk and keep tracking in step with your store. Ask TRAX which store platforms it supports today.
Custom Connections
If your shop runs on its own software, ask TRAX whether a direct connection is available and how to set it up. Read our API Integration Guide for architecture specifications.
Tracking Updates for Buyers
Give each buyer their tracking number so they can check the parcel themselves. We could not confirm which SMS or other messages TRAX sends to buyers, so do not promise alerts you have not seen.
Failed Deliveries and How to Cut Returns
With cash on delivery, every failed delivery costs the seller money. A few simple habits help:
Check the Tracking Status
If tracking shows a missed delivery, for example because the buyer’s phone was off or the gate was locked, act on it quickly.
Call the Buyer
Call the buyer to confirm the address, a nearby landmark or another phone number. Then ask TRAX, on (021) 111-118-729 or info@slgtrax.com, to try again before the parcel is sent back.
Storage, Hubs and Reach
We could not confirm whether TRAX offers warehouse storage or packing services. If you need them, ask TRAX directly. Here is what we do know:
Main Hubs
TRAX has main hubs in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Its head office is at Plot 104, Sector 23, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi.
Delivery Reach
TRAX delivers to more than 400 destinations in Pakistan. Before you promise a delivery date, check with TRAX that it reaches your buyer’s address.
Busy Sale Days
On big sale days, book early and have parcels packed before the 3:00 PM cut-off. If you expect many more parcels than usual, tell TRAX in advance.
Opening a Seller Account
We could not confirm which documents TRAX needs to open a seller account. Ask TRAX which business and bank details it needs, and how cash on delivery money is paid to you.
