TRAX Tracking Status Meanings Explained
Every TRAX status and problem message explained in plain words.
How TRAX scans work
Each time someone handles your parcel, such as loading it on a truck, sorting it at a hub or handing it to you, a scanner records it. Tracking shows these scans in order. It is not live GPS, so there is no update between two scans.
Knowing which statuses mean "still moving" and which mean "finished" tells you when to relax and when to call for help.
Detailed Milestone Definitions
The shop has entered your parcel in TRAX’s system with the address, weight and any COD amount. The parcel itself may still be at the shop, waiting to be collected.
A TRAX rider or pickup van has collected the parcel from the sender and scanned it. The parcel is now with TRAX and on its way to the first hub.
The parcel is at a TRAX hub. Staff check its size and weight and put it with other parcels going to the same city.
The parcel is on a truck between TRAX hubs. Trucks are not scanned on the road, so there are no updates during the trip.
The parcel has reached your local branch and a rider is bringing it to you by motorbike or van during the day.
You, or someone at your home or office, received the parcel. For COD orders, the cash was collected and recorded.
"Still moving" or "finished"?
TRAX statuses fall into two groups. Knowing which group you are in saves you worry and tells you when to ask for help:
Active In-Transit Milestones
Picked Up, Arrived at Facility, In Transit and Out for Delivery mean the parcel is still on its way. More scans will follow.
Terminal Concluded Statuses
Delivered, Returned to Shipper and Cancelled mean TRAX has finished with the parcel. No more scans will appear after these.
Problem statuses and returns
When a delivery cannot go ahead, TRAX adds a status that explains why:
Delivery Attempt Failed
The rider tried to deliver but could not, because nobody was at the address, the directions were not clear or the phone was not answered. Contact TRAX to arrange another attempt.
Returned to Shipper (RTS)
After failed attempts, or if the buyer refuses the parcel, it is sent back to the seller.
What to do when you see a problem status
Do not wait for the system to fix it. Call TRAX customer care with your tracking number to confirm your address and landmark, tell them when you can take calls, or ask them to hold the parcel at a nearby branch so you can collect it.
For help with returns, read our Returned to Shipper Guide or contact customer support via our TRAX Helpline Directory.
